Talking about the world

A bright performance

I'm often impressed at how there are artists out there that can perform so brightly, like they don't have any fears at all, they can express everything. It's mesmerizing watching how they own the stages. When I watch them I'm always shocked by how they can present themselves like that, without any insecurity.

This surprise comes especially because I've been on stages before1, and I would get so anxious that my performance would turned out awful every time. So for me, it's like watching something impossible happening effortless. No matter how much I practice, it always end up in a mess, then I can't get that question out of my head: ¿How is their performance so captivating? ¿How can express themselves without their voice or hands trembling even just a little bit? it feels special.

As I watch I can understand a little bit. They don't see the bunch of people looking at them as possible judges, they look at them as people to connect with and enjoy music together. And who knows, maybe some of them get nervous too, but they love music so much that they can bear the fear. Although, I think there are people that are just natural performers and that will always be magical to me.

Like always, I'll share performance that made me feel like this. These are some I had saved in a playlist or watched recently, there is probably more that I don't remember right now. I think I'll update this list in the future if I find more.

Often live performances are what trap me into becoming a fan of a band or artist. Many of these videos I shared are what made me obsessed over them and their music.

Again, how is that a week passed already since my last post?

  1. I did some presentations when I was young. Just small audiences of course but I know how it feels.
