Album review: Sounds Like Music
I found this album randomly on YouTube, its cover caught my eye since it's very colorful and has a psychedelic feeling to it. The first seconds started and I knew already that I'd love this album, and I was right! I've heard this album many times and I can't get tired of it. I feel like this band it's a hidden gem so I wanted to share it with the world.
All the instruments in this band go great with each other, the violin specially gives a unique color to the music. All the songs are jazzy and fun, it's a easy-to-listen music but not boring at all. I also like the connections between songs, smooth transitions and great track order.
It's hard for me to pick favorites in this album since I like every song, but some I like the most are: Steel Pocket, Follow The Sun, Sparck and If Time Allows.
The musicians are great, everyone in this band plays amazing, I can hear their passion for music in every track, they have this groove that it's definitely hard to find. I'm sure their live concerts are crazy, I'd love to go see them one day.
Final thoughts:
- The drums in telescope interlude goes crazy, love it!
- The folk sound of the violin in Follow The Sun it's all that I needed in my life.
- The saxophone in every track it's chef kiss (the solo in Harley's Davidson it's heaven)
- The guitar and the bass are so groovy, makes me want to dance.
- The piano gets everything together and gives it that jazzy sound even more.
- Talented people meet and this band was formed.
