Talking about the world

Being my personal chef

In youtube shorts I came across a person that called themselves their personal chef, like they work for themselves and I found this idea brilliant. I always liked cooking but often would get tired and then start to cook only fast and easy to make food like quesadillas or sandwiches. I know it's not healthy to eat this every day but cooking requires a lot of energy for me.

So after watching those shorts I got inspiration to do the same, I started to think of myself as my personal chef and things started to change. I was the chef in charge and that tought made cooking more fun. My toughts change from "ugh do I have to cook again?" to "I should try to do this dish now!", "what about experimenting with this ingredient?" When I started to add my own touch and tried to be creative, my motivation went up as well as my cooking skills.

If you act like a chef, you worry about the details. Cutting precisely, plating, condiments and right portions. In concecuence the quality of your food increses.

Still there are days where I'm too lazy to cook anything, but now I'm much more consistent and I actually care about cooking good food for me. I think cooking is a great proof of care. When you cook for someone you care about, you try to make the best food posible, so why should it be different when you're cooking fot yourself?
