Discovering astronomy
Lately I've been interested in watching the sky at night and trying to identify constellations and planets. I started to do this because one day I saw a very shinning star and was wondering if it was an star or a planet, later I found it was Venus? I'm still not sure.
So I've been researching on the internet and now Google's algorithm recommends to me Space news, this is great because now I can know more about astronomy and some important events that are happening soon.
I discovered that a planetary alignment was happening this 21th and was able to set an alarm for that day. I wasn't able to see the phenomenon to its fullest because I live in the city, but I could see some planets. The sky that day was beautiful. I think you can still see this, I've heard it last like a month? the 21th was just the peak. If you're interested you could check it out tonight.
Anyways, I've noticed that I can see more stars now, maybe because of the weather? My dad said that you can see the stars better at winter, I googled it, I suppose it's true. It's honestly wonderful we can get a glimpse of the planets and stars around us, before it was overwhelming for me because it made me feel so small, but now I like it, it's lucky to see special astronomical events like the planetary alignment.
