I found this pretty poem

I came across a YouTube shorts (I said that a lot haha) where they talked about the life of Henry Longfellow¹ and it was so interesting that I searched for his poems. I found very beautiful ones.

I wanted to share this excerpt from A Psalm of Life, because I think it's wonderfully written:

Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;

I especially like the last line, it draws a pretty image, abstract but yet I can understand what he is saying. I just like it very much, when I discover art like this it makes me very happy. I'm so happy right now.

I have read almost nothing from English literature, but finding this poems picked my curiosity. I'll start reading more.
