I like Korean music, not just k-pop
As you can see in my Music Journal and on My Music Recap from 2024, I listen to a lot of Korean music, I've been listening for quite a while now. To be honest, I don't care in which language the music is, if it it's good music then I like it, of course good music it's a very subjective concept. I believe every country has amazing music, you just have to find it.
Korea has a large music industry, we all know k-pop it's a big thing nowadays and I like k-pop as much as any other genre, because after all Korean music it's not only k-pop, obviously there are rock, hip hop, rap, ballads, indie and so on as any other country.
The other day I found this video called "Getting Into Korean Music (besides K-Pop)" and I think it's a great video that tells you all the story of Korean music from start to end. My knowledge of old Korean music was small, but with this video I found amazing artist to listen to. The history behind the music was so interesting to watch and I highly recommend to check it out.
Some songs I discovered thanks to this video and I love are:
βΆ μ΄λ ν루 (One day) - Rollercoaster
βΆ μ€λ½μ Paradise Lost - Rollercoaster
βΆ νΌμλ§μ λλ - Light & Salt
βΆ ν λΉ λ§μ Empty Heart - Lee Seung Hwan
So give it a try, it's always nice to discover new music right? you could find something that you like.
Thanks for reading :)
I'm thinking on doing more music recommendation posts, after all, I like talking about music that I like.
