Local radio it's actually cool
When I started to listen to the radio again I had a bad image of the local radio, I thought there wasn't good music or fun programs being aired, but in reality I didn't put much effort in finding one. I had prejudices about it because I haven't had the greatest experience listening to the local radio, then I realized I haven't give a proper chance to it, how can I know for sure there isn't a good station if I haven't listen to all of them? so that's what I did.
One day I decided to explore and listen to every local station for a few minutes to see what kind of music they play and it didn't took me long to find two or tree stations that I like. Then I kept listening for a longer time to see what kind of programs they have, for my surprise I found a station with a cool program where they also talk about music. Now I put the radio on many days of the week to listen to that program and that radio station became my favorite. I still don't listen a lot of radio but it's now a tiny part of my daily life.
Listening to the local radio has an unique charm: they talk about facts, the weather, important news and it makes me feel a little bit more connected to the city. The other day they even played a song from a local artist! And yea, there are ads too, but I find them less annoying since they are from local businesses that I could actually visit or buy from if I need it.
I'm glad I took the time to listening to the local radio, now I have fun listening.
