Talking about the world

Music questions challenge

I didn't knew there was a music question challenge and I'm happy I was tagged by Nikki in her post. I talk a lot about music so of course I'll participate! By the way, I always use YouTube links because I think it's a site that everyone can view.

1. What are five of your favorite albums?

I have already this public on my Music Journal here in my blog, but I'll put it here as well:

My favorites change all the time, but this are the albums I most enjoy and I keep in repeat right now.

2. What are five of your favorite songs?

This is a very hard question for me because I don't actually have favorite songs, I have so many songs I like that I can choose just five. Instead I'll put my favorite song but for every album I said above, if you have short time in your hands you should at least check these. Yes, I think that's easier.

That still took me some time to decide, there is so much good music out there.

3. Favorite instrument(s)?

Violin, guitar, flute, piano, saxophone, drums.

4. What song or album are you currently listening to?

I recently discovered Jimi Hendrix so I've been listening to Electric Ladyland. Also been having on repeat Dead Club City that I mentioned before (I did a post review of it if you want to know more about it). For songs?

5. Do you listen to the radio? If so, how often?

I actually wrote about this before (I've wrote so much didn't I? haha), I used to hear it with my dad on way to school and now I'm starting to get back to it again but with online radios, I enjoy it! I discovered a couple of days ago that VLC has a radio segment with a tons of radio you could listen to. I've found good radio stations there.

6. How often do you listen to music?

Everyday without exceptions, I listen music when I code, when I'm cooking, cleaning, working out, etc.

7. How often do you discover music? And how do you discover music?

I discover music pretty often, maybe once a week. It's usually on YouTube where I find new music, if the thumbnail or title catches my eye I clic to listen. It's not like I'm searching for it, most of the time it's just out of curiosity. I also discover new music through recommendations of friends, my sibling or blog posts.

8. What's a song or album that you enjoy that you wish had more recognition?

The album from Candid Antics "Sounds like music", it's a very charming first album. Flor de Michoacan it's also and album I love and I think Menny really needs more international recognition. And I'll add a little bit of classical music because it's super underrated these days: Yunchan Lim - Tchaikovsky "The Seasons", an absolute beautiful performance.

9. What's your favorite song of all time?

Again, I don't have a favorite song, I can choose at al! I think I've recommended a lot of music anyways...but it's my blog so I'll recommend a last one, it's not my ultimate favorite but one of my favorite classical pieces: Bach - Violin Sonata no. 1 in G minor played by Sato. I admire Sato's playing beyond comparation.

10. Has your taste in music evolved over the years?

Absolutely, I think my musical taste gets boarder as the years go by. I started listening to pop, pop rock, ballads and 80s music (my parents influence) and now I listen to more generes like: classical, r&b, jazz, indie, rock, some metal, some electronic, as well as music from different parts of the world. I still like most of what I used to hear years ago, but I don't do it as often.

Well those were all the questions, I adore music so it's always fun to talk about it. If you want to know more about my thoughts on music you can check my Music Journal, I try to keep it updated. I'm not tagging anyone, but if you find the questions interesting go ahead and answer them!
