Re: AI Music Experimentation

This is a response post for: AI Music Experimentation by -b. I started writing this as a comment but then I decided to make a post since the text was longer than I expected.

I agree that AI tools like Suno can only make generic music, it has a limit in terms of creativity, but I also think these tools can be useful to push our own creativity. I've use them too, they are entertaining and what I like is that you can try out whatever I want, it's like making music prototypes in seconds.

I often write lyrics for songs, many of them never reach the complete state so I have a lot of ideas on my notes. Using Suno for example, I can give it the lyrics for the song and a description of what I'm going for. This helps me to give live to my idea, that way I can see if I like it or not, if it has potential to be a good song or not.

Days ago I found out about MusicFX DJ by Google and it's even more weird in a good way. I watched a live from Jacob Collier where he used it to make music and it was like a one more new instrument for him, it made me realized the true potential this tools really have. I recommend watching his live, it's feels like magic when he starts fitting every sound together.

Like -b said, AI can't experiment, but I think we can experiment with AI and create completely new things.
