When it's raining
I feel the need to look through the window when it's raining. It's instant, as soon as I hear the rain crashing to the ground I go to the closest window and take a peak. I don't open the window full, I look through a tiny space I create as if looking could scare the rain away. Then I calmly see, how the drops start to form puddles and soon tiny rivers of water in the street, later those rivers transport garbage and leaves from the trees. I almost can hear the enjoyment of the plants out there (they dance with the wind!) and the joy from the people tired of the summer hot weather.
In the first minutes I see the rain washing all the dust in everything: the floor, the roofs, the abandoned cars that aren't used anymore. The water turns a little brown as it goes down the temporary river and the tint dissolves into a lighter tone until disappearing completely. The dust it's all washed out for today.
The sky? there isn't much going on, there are no individual clouds, everything it's a cloud. I can only see a grey fluffy mass, a little darker or lighter in some areas but the sky it's blurred like a watercolor mix, you can't tell where a color ends and the next continues. Some days are weird and the sky it's blue, you can see the sun but it's raining anyways, a micro-rain I like to say, because those drops of water are very tiny.
And the rain continues, I hear it for a couple of minutes more and see the river getting bigger and bigger, sometimes a car would go through it, a brave driver none the less. I carefully look the blurry chaos of water until I think of something more to do and drop the curtain.
