Let's forget about texting for a sec and write a letter
I think letters are such a genuine form of communication and art, people used to take their time thinking about an answer and come up with the right words because it took time to receive. It's very different for text message we send today, we are used to the fast pass life, receiving an answer in seconds or a couple of minutes.
For me, letters are more easy to write than short texts, I like not being rushed, I like writing and sending words that the other people can enjoy too. This is why I'm a bad texter, I take my time to answer and even though I lack the energy to socialize, I rather have a phone call then chatting over text because there is still some emotion that is missing, doesn't mater how many emojis you use (but it does help).
Reading something that you know the other person wrote thoughtfully for you it gives you a warm felling. Not talking romantically, it's just appreciation and true human connection. I haven't send a real physical letter in my life, but I have written many and send them through email or text and I can say that it's a good experience.
I watched a video the other day about pen pals and there where a lot of people in the comments saying that they want one and trying to find someone there on YouTube. So I think I'm not the only one that wants letters to make a comeback, maybe people got tired of instantaneous connection? because many times, it feels superficial.
Chatting with friends it's obviously fun, but that's the key word -fun-. Usually deeper conversation happens while talking, but I think letters leave a big space for that too.
I'm just dreaming right now, I know letter's wouldn't be trendy any time soon...but I would love to. We don't need to only comunicante through letters, we could occasionally send one right?
Thanks for reading :)
